New Shanghai UB Beer. In 1911, German merchants established Shunhe Brewery at Jiangning Road, which is the earliest beer manufacturer in Shanghai and produces "UB" yellow beer. Therefore, it is commonly known as Shanghai YouBeer Brewery by citizens. In 1919, it was acquired by Norwegian businessmen and renamed as Shanghai Beer Company, known externally as the Scandinavian Beer Company. From 1933 to 1934, the famous Hungarian designer Hudec redesigned the factory. In April 1949, the brewery ceased production. Since then, family heirs with nostalgia have always wanted to continue this meaningful brand of beer. The new Shanghai beer production process is all completed in the monastery, following the ancient method of brewing from the monastery side, with 100% malt selected, natural filtration and fermentation to ensure pure craft and spirit, bringing our taste buds back to the old Shanghai of 1911.
