Shuanghesheng was first established in 1915. It was founded by the patriotic merchants Hao Shengtang and Zhang Tingge with the vision of "cooperation between two people brings abundant financial resources". Currently, it is a wholly state-owned enterprise under the jurisdiction of Beijing Yiqing Holding Co., Ltd.
In 2023, the brand made a refreshed comeback, focusing on the craft beer track. Its products have successively won awards in major international competitions and it has been honored with the titles of "Best Brewery in Mainland China" and "Best Large Brewery in Asia".
