Master Cup China Beer Tournament (referred to as Master Cup below), is the only national touring large-scale beer competition in China, initiated by Gao Yan, the author of the book "Get Your Own Brew", in 2012.The Master Cup is a public welfare project initiated, managed, and served by beer enthusiasts. Since its establishment, it has never been interrupted. Promoting the development of craft beer in China is the mission of the Master Cup. Rewarding the brewers, not just the beers, is the biggest difference between the Master Cup and other beer competitions worldwide. The Master Cup has always been dedicated to seeking out brewing masters in China. The Master Cup is divided into two categories: homebrew and professional groups. Participants need to compete in the national tour preliminaries before entering the more intense finals to compete for the titles of annual champion and annual best brewer.
